Gentler Times Gift Card Holder

December 9, 2017 by Marian

Trying to turn my Website (created using HTML/CSS/JavaScript) into a WordPress site is a lot harder than I thought it would be.  I tend to want things done now and don’t have the patience to learn what I need to do first.  So, I am learning by trial and error.  I have made so many changes to this one blog post, and there will probably be many more to come before I am done.   Yet I need to start some place.  So, for my first blog post I took a project that I made and posted on my original website.

I was giving gift cards for a bookstore to each of my parents one year for Christmas and wanted something pretty to present them in.  I came up with the following design as I thought a couple of bookmarks would be nice to go along with the gift card.

This gift card holder was made for my Mom.  The holder itself is quite easy to make using a template I made.

Below shows the gift card holder from both sides when it is opened up.  The holder is large enough to hold the card holder you receive, sometimes, when you purchase a gift card.

In the next post I will show the one I made for my Dad.

Products I used
Stamps:  Gentler Times, Filigree
Ink:  Classic – Mellow Moss
Cardstock:   Ultrasmooth Vanilla, Mellow Moss
Accessories:  Crimper, Tassels, Xyron, 1/8″ Circle Punch

Ever need to make more than 1 card and wonder how many sheets of cardstock you will need? or what a 1/4" vs 1/8" border would look like for a layer? If so my tools will answer help with that.

My name is Marian Robinett and I am a crafter -- name the craft and I have probably tried it. Read More…
